Kenneth Geoffrey Oudejans is a 20-year-old up and coming house-DJ living in Amsterdam. Growing up in the suburbs of Amsterdam listening to all kinds of music every hour of the day, it didn’t take a rocket scientist to calculate the chances of making a career out of music was pretty big.
He set his goals quickly, got a low-paying job and started saving for a set of turntables. When his gear was acquired, he practiced day and night (driving the neighbors crazy) to step his game up. Through sheer dedication and unwavering resilience, spinning records and mixing became second nature. Now all Kenneth G needed was some kind of jump-off to kick start his DJ career.
This came in the form of a radio show called Dynamicable Radio that he was on together with good friend and peer Marc Benjamin. On Dynamicable Radio he got some good airtime, which got him some recognition and small gigs in and around Amsterdam.
Kenneth G’s big breakthrough came in 2006 when he caught Ravuth Ty’s attention and got signed on the Nope is Dope concept. This gave a huge boost to Kenneth G’s popularity and he is now able to stand his ground against some of Holland’s finest DJ’s. Not only does he get a lot of jobs all around the Netherlands, he has gotten the rare opportunity to show his talents across the border in cities like Istanbul and Crete!
2007 was a very successful year for him as he has gotten the chance to play in clubs like: Escape, Off Corso, Club Rembrand, Maassilo, Heineken Music Hall, Club Noa, Panama and Jimmy Woo.
And when looking back has become pointless, all he can do is look forward, wondering what 2008 might have in store for him and wondering what he has in store for 2008...
